A new member of the wind turbine controller family, the КВЭУ-3.6000Вт.48В, is now on sale.

Purpose:

The wind turbine controller manages the turbine and monitors the battery charging process.
The controller converts the AC output of the wind turbine generator into DC for battery charging, manages the charging process, controls the turbine in normal operation, and brakes and stops the turbine drive in manual mode.
The controller can be used with wind turbine generators rated 48 V AC and up to 6 kW.

Distinctive features:

The controller has a built-in automatic ballast control that limits the maximum battery voltage.
Smooth ballast control by PWM regulator allows energy to be drawn from the turbine at maximum efficiency across its operating range, and also reduces the dynamic load on the turbine bearings.
Higher reliability, longer service life and silent operation are achieved because the controller has no electromechanical contactors for switching the ballast and no fans in its cooling system.
The controller has overcurrent protection on the battery output.
The controller has a built-in switch for changing manually between "RUN" and "STOP" modes.
A soft-braking function operates when switching from "RUN" to "STOP", preventing the "dynamic shock" that would otherwise destroy the inertial mechanical system — blades, shaft and turbine — if the wind turbine has to be stopped in a storm.
The controller includes a backup emergency ballast switching system, which operates automatically if the main regulating system is damaged or fails. This makes operating the wind turbine safer.
Automatic battery charge monitoring extends battery life.
The controller has a built-in voltmeter showing the battery voltage.
The controller has a built-in ammeter showing the battery charging current.
