In the power industry, currents and voltages are most often indicated by panel-mounted analogue instruments of 120×120 and 144×144 mm. The drawbacks of analogue instruments are well known:
- readings cannot be read from more than 2 m away;
- readings are difficult, and sometimes impossible, to read in poorly lit spaces, and so on.
Many power utilities are therefore replacing analogue instruments with digital ones. How should this be done? The physical dimensions of panel-mounted analogue instruments and of digital panel instruments are often different.
To that end our engineers have developed mounting brackets (bezels) for digital panel voltmeters, ammeters, frequency meters, tap-position indicators, current relays and voltage relays. The instruments are currently available with two types of bezel: 1М or 2Б. Bezel 1М has external dimensions of 132×132, bezel 2Б – 172×172.
Bezels in other sizes can also be supplied on request.
