Overview of dust- and moisture-proof luminaires
Manufacturers of industrial luminaires offer economical lighting solutions for industrial premises. Good industrial lighting improves product quality, increases productivity and saves electricity.
Dust- and moisture-proof luminaires are used in covered premises, metro stations, railway stations, laundries, agricultural buildings, car washes and garages, and for lighting industrial and warehouse spaces with high concentrations of moisture and dust. Because stainless steel clips are used, such luminaires can also be installed in areas with a high content of chemically active substances.
Such luminaires are fixed to the ceiling with screws or hung from ceiling rods. Dust- and moisture-proof luminaires for industrial premises offer a high degree of optical-system protection, a high power factor, modern styling and energy efficiency.
The luminaire diffuser provides an optimal distribution of the luminous flux. The luminaires are smooth, which makes them easy to clean. Dust- and moisture-proof luminaires are now available in a wide variety of designs, colours and sizes, meeting any customer requirement. Manufacturers achieve the dust and moisture protection through tightly mating edges on the cover and body together with a polyurethane gasket.
The manufacturers guarantee these luminaires for at least ten years.
Dust- and moisture-proof luminaires are available today in a variety of designs. The body is always of non-combustible plastic, while diffusers vary.
A polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant: it can be folded in half without breaking and returns to its original shape when released.
Luminaires with a styrene-acrylonitrile diffuser are attractively priced. But care is needed during transport and installation, as these diffusers can crack.
As the light source, manufacturers of industrial luminaires use ordinary fluorescent lamps; these provide a sufficient level of luminous flux and are characterised by high colour rendering. As a result, the luminaires described here can be used in rooms that are permanently occupied.
Dust- and moisture-proof luminaires are available from 60 W to 100 W.
