БУАВР are designed to operate as part of automatic transfer switch (ATS) equipment in power distribution networks.
They control the automatic transfer from one source to the other according to the state of the "main" and "standby" incomers.
They monitor incomer status, control high-voltage power switchgear, and indicate input and output status.
