БУАВР.М automatic transfer switch controller

We are pleased to announce new variants in the popular БУАВР family.

12 years ago our company for the first time brought to market the unit БУАВР (abroad these devices are called ATS or Automatic Transfer Switch). As a manufacturer of phase-failure relays and time relays — components that used to be used everywhere to build ATS panels — we know at first hand the problems faced by the designers and manufacturers of transfer switch equipment.

This made it possible to create a device which we called Automatic transfer switch controller or БУАВР, meeting customers' needs as fully as possible. Continuous dialogue with customers and designers, site visits, accumulated experience and analysis of alternative solutions, a quality system in place, and customer support through the development of application schemes using switchgear of various makes and designs, brought the device to a level at which it has become the de facto standard for ATS manufacturers.

Positive operating experience with БУАВР.Х.Х.Х.Т units, which have increased surge withstand and are intended for use at transformer substations, made it possible to create the new БУАВР.Х.Х.М variant.

In this variant the maximum phase voltage is 300 V.

The БУАВР.Х.Х.М continues to operate if 380 V line voltage is applied to its phase inputs, and withstands lightning and switching surges of up to 680 V on the phase inputs and on the control supply input (terminal 10) with respect to neutral terminal N.

New variants БУАВР.Х.Х.М successfully have passed testing and already have gone on sale.

Differences from the earlier variants:
The supply voltage range has been extended. An АП1 power adapter is no longer needed.
- The operating temperature range has been extended. All base variants now work from -40 degrees.
- The minimum configuration now includes a 220 V AC/DC control supply input.
- 0.1 A fuses are no longer required on the phase inputs of the БУАВР. Standard 6 A modular circuit breakers can be used instead.
- The range (the number of catalogue variants) has been reduced substantially because the minimum configuration now includes the optional features by default. Functionality is in no way reduced. The БУАВР.М can be used in every scheme designed for earlier БУАВР models.
