БУАВР.2С automatic transfer switch controller

for an ATS with two incomers, two loads and two bus-tie breakers

Purpose:

• The БУАВР controls the automatic transfer from the main supply to the standby supply and back, on impermissible phase voltage deviations, phase imbalance or asymmetry, a change in phase sequence, or the loss of one or more phases in the "main" or "standby" network.

• The БУАВР can be used in distribution networks as part of:
  - automatic transfer switching (ATS);
  - emergency transfer switching.
• The БУАВР monitors incomer status, controls magnetic contactors and motor-operated circuit breakers, and indicates input and output status.
• The БУАВР is built to climatic category У, placement category 2 per ДСТУ ГОСТ 15150-69, and is designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to +55°C, relative humidity up to 80% and atmospheric pressure from 650 to 800 mm Hg.
• The БУАВР is intended for operation in a non-explosive atmosphere, free of gases and vapours in concentrations that attack metal and insulation, and free of saturated water vapour and conductive dust.
• Resistance to external mechanical factors — per ДСТУ ГОСТ 17516.1, group М6
• Permissible vibration: 1 to 35 Hz at an acceleration of no more than 4 m/s².
• The БУАВР is supplied from the monitored network whenever voltage is present on one of the phases of either incomer. When used in an ATS with motor-operated circuit breakers, an additional control power source is recommended.
• The БУАВР connects directly to 0.4 kV networks.
• Connection to networks of 6 kV and above requires step-down transformers with a 100 V nominal secondary voltage (the БУАВР version with a 100 V input).
