Device for charging batteries from photovoltaic modules
Device for charging batteries from photovoltaic modules with MPPT optimisation, rated
18 kW ЗУ.18kW.MPPT.240VDC
A new addition to the solar battery charger range, the ЗУ.18kW.MPPT.240VDC, is now on sale
Chargers of various ratings can be ordered for different battery banks fed from solar panels.
Purpose:
-
The charge controller converts the DC voltage from the solar panels into DC for charging the battery bank.
-
The charger accepts up to four strings with an open-circuit voltage of up to 800 V and up to 4.5 kW each.
-
The charger's nominal output is 18 kW at an output voltage of 240 V DC.
Distinctive features:
-
The charger continuously tracks the maximum power point automatically.
-
The charger continuously monitors the battery charging stage (bulk, absorption, float) as well as the current drawn by the load. Based on that data it adjusts the current fed to the battery. This charge-control function extends battery life.
-
In the charger, all power switching components — the incoming fuses and the isolators for connecting the solar panels — are rated 1000 V DC.
-
The charger has overcurrent protection on the battery output, implemented with a circuit breaker.
-
The charger has a software-implemented emergency shutdown on overload.
-
Indicator lights on the middle section door of the charger cabinet signal the operating modes: "Power ON", "Battery charging" and "Battery charged".
-
The charger has four independent MPPT regulators, allowing four independent strings to be connected. MPPT optimisation is performed separately for each string. This gives maximum efficiency with different types of solar panel, with different numbers of panels per string, and with different irradiance on different strings.
