Electronic ballast for SOX-E low-pressure lamps
Purpose:- The electronic ballast (ЭПРА) is designed to drive SOX-E 18 W low-pressure sodium lamps in street lighting luminaires equipped with a solar panel and a battery.
Distinctive features:
- The ballast starts when the supply voltage is applied.
- If the lamp fails to strike within 5…10 seconds.
- After the supply voltage is applied (for example if the lamp has failed), the ballast switches off automatically and removes the voltage from the lamp. To restart, remove the supply voltage and apply it again.
- The ballast has built-in reverse-polarity protection on the supply input.
- The ballast keeps the lamp current constant across the supply voltage range.
- A "Control" input is provided for switching the ballast on and off remotely. To switch the lamp on, leave the "Control" input unconnected; to switch it off, apply a voltage in the range (2.5…15) V to the "Control" input.
